Following on from my last reflections, I’ve been thinking about the joy that comes from lighting lanterns for others - the warmth of supporting, encouraging, and guiding. But it’s equally important to remember to light your own lantern too. If you pour out all of your fuel for everyone else, you risk burning out. Give what you can, when you can. And if you can’t, don’t feel guilty - life ebbs and flows.

Over years and decades, we all ride the swings and roundabouts of relationships. The people who are truly meant to be part of your world will remain, and those who drift away are simply making space, time, and energy for new connections. Don’t chase - those who are right for you will stay.

You are exactly where you need to be right now. Mistakes aren’t failures, they’re part of the process - stepping stones for growth. Life moves in cycles: things come, things go. The key is to keep going with positivity and trust that things will bloom in their own time.

And remember: if a flower doesn’t grow, it isn’t the flower that needs to change - it’s the environment it’s trying to grow in.
